the return of this character from the first film revealed by a set photo

The star of Black Panther Chadwick Boseman will always be missed, but the sequel to the film is coming soon to the end of his filming period. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will introduce us to many new facesbut also ones that are much more familiarevidenced by this New picture taken by one of the actors after filming.

Black Panther : one actor after another

The death of the main actor Black Panther was a real shock in the world of Hollywood cinema. Many tributes have been made in recent years, such as Netflix which released a huge scholarship for its favorite school of actors. The next movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is in a living representationbecause Chadwick Boseman carried the film alone on his shoulders. Finding a new face to embody the character will have been impossible for the production team. President of Marvel, Kevin Feige, will declare at the end of 2020 that no actor will reprise the role of T’Challa, and that the film will focus on secondary characters. A simple and effective way of to evolve the MCU taking into account the evolution of the contemporary world.

If we already know that some actors will reprise their roles from the first filmlike Letitia Wright in Shuri, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia or Martin Freeman in Everett K. Ross, this was not the case for all the actors. On Twitter, actor Nyong’o shared three images from the set of Wakanda Forever, showing up with four of his co-stars. By his side, we can thus see Winston Duke (M’Baku), Angela BassettRamonda and Letitia Wrightbut also Danny Sapaniwho embodies the character of the elder of the M’Kathu frontier tribe in the first movie. If all the others had been confirmed in the casting, this was not the case until then.

A minor role in Wakanda Forever

Sapani’s role in the film Black Panther of 2018 was minorbut his character M’Kathu had a high reputation as a member of the Wakanda Tribal Council. He was present at T’Challa’s coronation ceremony. Its presence in the sequel may suggest greater involvement of the Tribal Council in the latter, presumably via the election of a new king or a potential regency of the latter. There are several possibilities as to its use, but it is easy to imagine that the region will pay great tribute to its late king by bringing together all the tribes of the kingdomthen deciding what to do next.

One can only speculate as to the plot of the film. The screenwriter of the film Ryan Coogler stated in March 2021 that working on the script for the film without Chadwick Boseman was something very difficult. For now, we know that the characters will have to deal with a new threat against their kingdom. in the person of Doctor Doom himself. If the script has not evolved since, Doom will be at the head of a people just as powerful as them, but more technologically advanced: the atlanteans. In the Marvel Universe. Atlantis and Wakanda clashed relentlessly, sometimes defeated, sometimes victorious. A war that will only end because of a Deus Ex, in the presence of the opening of multiversal riftsbeing part of the event and the narrative arc “Secret War“. Rumors too big to be false also announce thata movie or a series Secret War is in preparation on the Marvel side which has been talking about it since 2018, probably for part 5 of his Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the meantime, the multiverse will already be quite turned upside down in the next one. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessmany of whose characters come from leak.
